Roshown McLeod, a former American professional basketball player, was born November 17, 1975. He was chosen by the Atlanta Hawks as the 20th overall pick in the 1998 NBA draft. McLeod, a 6’8″ small forward who hails from St. John’s University in Durham, played in three NBA seasons between 1999 and 2001. McLeod played briefly for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Hawks. He was a member the Boston Celtics in 2001-02, but he sustained a permanent injury and was unable to play. This injury forced him to end his career prematurely.
McLeod joined Tom Crean’s coaching staff at Indiana University in August 2008. Crean fired McLeod from IU on March 7, 2010.
Roshown took over for Dan Hurley at St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey. This independent school is located in Newark, New Jersey. Roshown was hired to replace Hurley who left Wagner College in April 2010. In April 2011, he resigned as head coach at St. Benedict’s. He was the head coach at Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia, from 2016 to 2011. McLeod resigned from Fellowship Christian School in March because he had a disagreement of opinions.
